Fundraiser for Jakeem Tyler
44 679 $ sur un objectif de 2 500 $
When I placed my order, I asked him what happened...he said he was involved in a car accident, but he was working cause he needs the money & also wants to feed the homeless for Christmas & needs the cash. I wanted to create this GoFundMe page to help him along his mission & show some support.
https://www.facebook.com/karen1ammon - Karen, ashamed? This young man is making a difference and I can almost bet he's done more for his fellow man than you have your entire life. We need to edify an entire generation to take these actions - not belittle them and shame them. Be ashamed of yourself, Karen, for presenting yourself in a disrespectful manner.
Hello to everyone, I am Jakeem’s Farther- Tracy Tyler. First let me thank all of you who gave to my son out of the goodness of your heart. I want to state for the record that the young man who created this campaign has been nothing but on the level. Cameron Nelson contacted us on Saturday the 10th at that time he gave me the information to access and withdraw the funds. I have only allowed the funds to remain in the account expecting the outpouring to die down, but the love you all have continued to send to my son is amazing. I intend to use all my parenting skills and guidance to help Jakeem lived up to the potential that I have always seen, and now the rest of the world has seen. My wife and I love our sons very much!! And my one and only job is to protect them, this includes there reputation by guiding them in life. We thank you so much to everyone and to Cameron for the generosity of your hearts. Tracy & Debra Tyler.
only ignorance shames! honorable is more like it! worthy, humble, morals and loyal are the characteristics of this young man... keep your head up and never allow ignorance to deter you. good luck young man. i hope you fully recover to appreciate the blessing you will be for many this year. thats a man!
Qui, the proof is all over the internet lol. He is absolutely the recipient and his parents are fully aware also. It saddens me that this was your initial ylthought, being as though a simple internet search would confirm the story. I know this is the season for filthy deplorables to scam and deceive, but this story doesn't or has never had that type of stigma.
God is using his children as a WITNESS! In times like this where the world is coming to an end, there are still good people in this world! This child was definitely raised with good values! How amazing that with injuries, he CHOSE to get UP, and go to work for the good of himself and others! Praise this sweet young man! You are remarkable!
Roy Culbertson 1 hour ago I'd like to see the receipts of where he donated the money. There's nothing to prevent him from keeping the money. Roy, so what if he spent some of the money on himself? Why not he didn't ask for any of this. Maybe he buys himself some clothes or shoes, maybe a car to get to work... so what? People felt touched by the story and wanted good things for him, they give with no strings attached in the good faith that he spends the money on himself to help out a working student or gives some away. The best kind of giving is without strings attached.
Karen Ammon, "I'm ashamed of you". Exactly who are you ashamed of? The young man who is working while he probably should be home recovering? The young man who is being an adult and helping other? The man who did not have to but choose to create this page and share this story to allow people, of their own free will, to donate money to help him, to show him support? I am failing to see the shameful action here…
He's a great young man! See him every week at our weekly Chic Fil A dinner. He's located at the Avon, Indiana location on US 36/Rockville Rd in front of the Meijer's. Always friendly and has a smile. My daughter is his friend and when I showed her the initial post she text him to tell him. He had no idea this was happening. He actually was embarrassed and concerned for his job. And he clearly said he needed the money and wanted to help the homeless. And you donated on your own freewill. So if you have concerns about what he's going to use the money on then keep your money. There are plenty of others that support him
For those concerned with monies being taxed, they are not. That's the best thing as it means Jakeem can spend every penny of the money blessing others. This young man is a model citizen. We don't even have many adults that display the same level of character and work ethic, let alone young people. I'm looking forward to an update on this fund raiser!
Jakeem, I just saw your story on Fox News, and young man, I just want to tell you that I was so impressed! You have a heart of gold, and I was especially touched when you said you want to become an evangelist - this world needs more people like you! I pray that you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!
His interview on TV this morning was very inspiring. Jakeem is an amazing example of GOD's love in action and he's lifting all of us up to higher levels of love. May GOD richly bless Jakeem, his family and all his efforts on behalf of homeless people! http://video.foxnews.com/v/5250615883001/?playlist_id=930909787001#sp=show-clips
I wish I could say I'm surprised and/or embarrassed that so many negative comments are on this page. We have become a jaded nation, believing everyone is out to better themselves first, thus assuming this is either a scam or this young man is going to keep the money. We have become a shameful nation, with those who troll social media's comments sections, leading the rest of us to become jaded and suspicious of others. I am, however, pleased and happy that this young man exists despite those who are jaded, those who troll, those who support hate and greed. Jakeem, please do not lose your desire to help those in need. There are many of us in this world who want nothing more than to feed those who are hungry, to heal those who are sick. We are not as loud and obnoxious as those who seem to always stand out more. I once heard that it is easier to be negative and angry than it is to be positive and progressive, because it's so much harder to see the positive side of things in the face of conflict, obstruction, etc. Keep your goals in the forefront of your battles. Remember that no situation, no bad moment, lasts forever, and in the face of those days that are hardest, try to find one positive outcome of what you are going through. You got in a car accident and pretty hurt, and you need the money and did what you had to do and work - but look at what came of that. Keep your head held high, sir. Strive for achieving your goals and making the world a better place. If nothing else, strive to make your heart happy.
